I've Been Checking Out Recently

To Help Me Out and Maybe Even Help a Few Others Out in this World

Okay, so here we go. I'm not sure what I'm going to do with this page yet, but it should be quite interesting. It truly will be a work-in-progress, as well as my fanfic/stories page.

I've recently been going through -something-  -hehe-. *shrugs* I don't know. Something. Midlife crisis maybe? *snickers* Umhum. Hush. And I can hear my two most beautiful, wonderful, and amazing, always-there-for-me, especially-when-the-going-gets-tough soul mates Angara and Janet chuckling and snickering in the corners of South Texas and Northern Ohio. Umhum. Yep, yep. Hush. And there went an eye-roll. -hehe- Hum. Yep. A "midlife crisis" or  -something-

-hehe-

Anyhoo.

This page is as much for me as it is for you, all you wonderful dedicated SRR Fans out there. I've got to do -something- to get myself and my ass off the backburner and back in gear. Jeez. I'm -???- I don't know, but something has GOT to give, to get me back rolling again. Whew.

And then just recently, I had some kind of "calling" or something *shrugs again* to share my ideas, thoughts, interests, findings, studies, etc. with you, oh you great big world you, and all you wonderful fans of the SRR. So, again, here ya go. You might not like it, or most of it, or agree with it ... but it really does not matter to me, one way or the other. I'm just throwing it out there for you to take a look. Look at it, then take it or leave it, just as most would do about just about anything. It's no big deal. Pick out what you might like and let the rest go. I certainly don't have an answer to much of anything except maybe my first name, and that would probably be debatable in certain circles.

-sigh-

Anyhoo.

*shrugs again*

Okay.

So.

First. Here's one for you:

I LOVE the I-Ching. I've only recently learned about this over-3,000-year-old divination process, and have been "throwing the coins" on a weekly basis ever since - sometimes several times a day - depending on what is going on in my life at the moment - and wow! It has been a lifesaver for me, and those around me, whom I love very much. It WORKS! (at least for me). And it has kept my butt out of trouble, where many of my life's greatest challenges could have affected me in a very negative way, and those around me. Thank "God/the Sage/the Higher Power" for the I-Ching. Granted I was raised Christian - and still believe in Jesus Christ. Don't get me wrong - but check it out if you'd like. I figure why not blend the best of ALL the world's religions together, so that I can continue to work on myself and become a better person every day, learning better how to love as unconditionally as humanly possible, and especially remember that We Are All One in God's Eyes and have ALL come from the same Creative Source - God? The Creator loves us ALL, for we are ALL a part of the same Creator - aren't we? What other God is there? - no matter what path we choose. At least in my opinion. Given what all is going on in the world today (and for thousands of years), there has got to be a better way - a different way - than what we've been doing all this time, hanging onto all of our various belief systems, to the point that we begin to kill each other, in the name of religion. Could we not all transcend our religious beliefs - not give them up, just transcend them and become tolerant of one another's religious differences - and then focus on our common ground? And that is to love each other, as God loves us and asks of us?

Okay. I'll hush now. No soapbox speeches from me (most of the time)

-hehe-

And remember, the I-Ching is NOT a game to be played with. It is an individual divination tool/process, used in silence and alone, for one wanting to "get in touch" with the Higher Power, their own Inner Consciousness, the Sage, or however you want to look at it, for their own individual life's questions and answers. Keep that in mind as you consider looking into it.

Listed below are my favorite English translations of the Original Chinese text of the I-Ching: The Book of Changes, and the Tao Te Ching, and a couple of books on Buddhism as well:

Also, after some investigation into the TaoistBuddhist ways of doing things I have begun to search out more diligently The Good Red Road of the Native American Indian - predominately the Lakota/Dakota/Nakota (Sioux) Plains Indian Nations and the Cherokee Nation of old. And oh what blessings I have found there as well, and quite similar actually to the Early Christian and Eastern/Asian ways of doing things with learning how to live a more centered and balanced life.

Plus, I have been extremely blessed by the Animal Spirits lately - my own little four-legged and winged spirit guides and totems - as well as my human spirit guides, lurking in the mist. This has been a wonderful new discovery for me, and such a humbling experience. I have learned so much already about myself, my life, others in my life, and especially those loved ones whom mean so much to me, and "why we do the things we do", and "why things are the way they are", at any given moment in time - for life is a continuous circle, always changing, always evolving, always moving, throughout eternity - and I am so thankful for my four-legged and winged spirit "brothers and sisters" as they have begun to "teach me" and "show me a different way" to carry on with my life, and all my other two-legged friends, brothers and sisters whom I come in contact with.

Listed below are many of the books I have just recently added to my own home collection. Enjoy. And, if nothing else, read them for the historical/educational benefit. I think it is always good to get a sense of another's culture and spiritual awareness. How else are we going to generally understand each other, recognize our differences and realize our many commonalities, so that we can begin to heal ourselves and each other, from the inside out, unless we begin to view the world from another's point-of-view, and then begin the process of unity for all mankind, through our God-given diversity?

Oops. Okay. Here I go again.

I'll hush now.

*wink*

Check them out. I think you'll like.

Below are some more books I have been reading/studying recently, over the last few months, that have truly changed my life for the better as well. I highly recommend ANY of them but do encourage everyone to read Conversations With God: Book 1 at least, if not the entire CWG: Trilogy, then Tomorrow's God, and Ask and It Is Given. All are great books.
